2020 Calendars are Here!

Staying organized can be a challenge for teachers and parents, especially with busy kids and crazy schedules! Calendars can be used by our students to help them stay organized, remember important dates, and provide structure.

The Boardmaker Team has created calendar templates to make planning out your days and months a little easier. You can find these templates on the Boardmaker Community in Boardmaker Online by searching for 2020 Calendar. There are two options available, so pick the one that works best for you.

Basic calendar skills are an important life skill that we often teach and with the Boardmaker templates, it is super easy to customize them to meet your specific needs. There are so many ways to use Boardmaker calendars. Here are a few tips:

Tip 1:  Personalize your calendar by adding symbols and photographs that represent the fun activities you have planned. Don’t forget birthdays, holidays and special events.

Tip 2: Use color coding to make repeated events easy to find. Use a marker to cross off each day to countdown to a special event.

Tip 3: Use calendars as a part of your daily routine. Hang calendars in your classroom or at home and use them to journal special events and activities.

Many students benefit from visual supports to help them know what to expect during the day, especially activities and events that may be difficult for them.
