BM7 Error: Stuck On "Initializing File Handler" on launch

Problem
When launching Boardmaker 7, the startup sticks on "Initializing File Handler". Reinstalling the software does not fix the issue.

Cause
Issue can be related to compatibility with outdated MacOS.

Resolution
Boardmaker 7 requires OSX 10.13 or higher. Ensure the customer is on OSX 10.13 or higher to meet minimum compatibility.
To check OSX version, click Apple (top left) > About This Mac.

Updating MacOS is out of scope; refer customer to internal IT or Apple Support (https://support.apple.com/).

Issue is unreported on Windows and Chrome OS. Ensure that the customer is on Windows 10/Chrome OS 69 or higher to meet minimum compatibility.

This issue can occur if you are running a version of MacOS that is not compatible with Boardmaker 7.

Boardmaker 7 requires MacOSX 10.13 or higher. You can check your version of MacOSX by clicking the Apple logo at the top left, and then clicking "About This Mac".

If you are not on MacOSX 10.13 or higher, you will need to update in order to use Boardmaker 7. Please contact either your internal IT department or Apple Support ( https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201232 ) for assistance.
